Another exceptional Michelin Star Pub based in Bray.
Although it’s in competition with the famous Heston Blumenthal’s The Fat Duck restaurant just across the road, this place is for a more “chilled out” atmosphere with a great view from the upstairs eating area overlooking the characteristic village.
We received vouchers for this Michelin meal and could not have been happier with the service and quality of the fine food served one fantastic lunch time when the sun was shining.
See below a mouth watering scotch egg with a perfectly runny yoke which exploded to perfection – a wonderful starting “snack;
Now for a shot of pudding…
I thoroughly recommended this restaurant for a special occasion.
One more place to squeeze in this blog post is another country pub in Berkshire named The George and Dragon (specifically located in Swallowfield near Reading.) This definitely needs a mention for the prawns alone;
A cosy feel and well cooked food!
So if in the Berkshire county – make sure to give at least one of these places a visit.
Oh, and just in case you’re around Reading this Summer and fancy a beer garden, The Cunning Man is a superb inn with brick-work & beams.
