Portugal is a fantastic place for it’s cultural, heart-felt food.

And ofcourse the famous Portugese claws had to be hacked away at;  

Amarante – a quiet town in Porto which is full of character and notorious for its sweet patisseries; it’s recommended to eat a mini cake with an espresso shot to wash it down.

Luckily, we were on my boyfriend’s business trip with an old family friend of his who could drive us to all the local Porto restaurants high up in the mountains, that no tourist could ever find.

However, I did come across a more popular place which was right in the City centre – Venham Mais 5. Beware of the small waiter with bright orange hair – he’s OBSESSED with Beyonce! Even to the extreme where the music stopped and we got serenaded with “Listen” in front of the entire outdoor restaurant as he thought we knew her being from England…
