Indian Dining

Loving the Indian food in Cheshire so far👍

Right in the heart of Knutsford, I’ve stumbled across two authentic Indian restaurants – Shamoli and Eastern Revive (with Mughli still to try!)

Depending on what mood you’re in, Shamoli is more of a casual dining experience with true home-cooked Indian food. I had a fantastic Duck curry at this place as I’ve found this dish has always been a tough one to perfect – but the spices were mastered along with the texture of the sauce.

However, although I’m a fan of the food, I found the room itself a little dated and stuffy as it was underground. Which is possibly why my next recommendation slightly beats Shamoli as it ticks all the boxes…

… Introducing Eastern Revive for a more “fancy” dining experience. Again, incredible home-cooked food and the Eastern Revive Jalfrezi curry dish just had to be tried – and it paid off 👌 This traditionally has 3 chilli marks next to it so I asked for it to be toned down just to be on the safe side. Whereas my friend had the Samosa dish and feels the spicier the better!

Of course a King Prawn Tandoori dish had to be started with…

And the Chicken Tikka Tandoori was extremely tasty and a very generous portion size.

Washed down with a Cobra beer, I think I’ve found my new “go to” Indian restaurant in Cheshire 😍
