La Fabrica

A fantastic Spanish & stylish restaurant located near the tube station in Finsbury Park, sits the fabulous Tapas place – La Fabrica!

It truly felt like a Spanish taverna when entering the dimly-lit restaurant, and the food smelt incredible which is always a good sign on entry.

Seated on wooden benches at a rustic wooden table, we were handed the menus and glad to see the Paella special πŸ˜‰

For starter nibbles, we all shared a couple of cheese boards which went down tremendously along with their recommended chilled House white. The cheese selection was incredible, ranging from soft cheeses, to hard Parmesan type cheese, even to mouldy cheese & blue cheese – which I do admit are a unique taste and I loved them allπŸ§€

Crackers, breadsticks, olives, salami meats, sliced black pudding and quince to compliment the cheese πŸ’ƒ We couldn’t ask for more; well, until paella time…

Again it was a sharing situation of the “mixed seafood & meat paella special” – which was served in two massive frying pans and placed on heat-proof mats in front of us. They were filled with a concoction of giant king prawns, clams, mussels, chicken and dressed in an oily sauce so the rice was very sticky and salty – just the kind of comfort food you needed the day after a night out in London!

All in all, La Fabrica was a fantastic find and I really recommend this place if searching for a great Tapas place in the area! πŸ‘ŒπŸ·πŸ’ƒ
