Giggling Squid, Norwich

On our recent visit to the wonderful city I lived in for 2 years, we returned to celebrate a friend’s 31st birthday and simply ate our way around Norwich just like old times 👌

If you’d like some other eating out options around East Anglia, visit my blog post on https://mooreeatsout.wordpress.com/2016/02/14/norwich-nibbles/ – and yes, this covers 100 places I personally visited around Norwich – I blame ‘lunch club’.

For all my regular followers you will know by now my love for Thai is real. And this was made apparent on our birthday celebration venue at The Giggling Squid which is located in Tombland.

There’s a little entrance navigated by candles in clear high jars leading up to the restaurant and once you enter the building, the interior is authentic – just what you like to feel when having Asian cuisine.

The house red was ordered for 6 people along with a mixture of Thai King prawns with chilli sauce, chicken satay with peanut butter sauce, and duck canapés…

After a delicious starter, we were ready for the main.

My two essentials have got to be a good old noodle dish such as Pad Thai and a Red Thai Duck curry with jasmine rice;

I can’t believe Norwich decided to provide the best Thai in the city AFTER I decided to leave!!

All in all, an amazing meal with awesome friends who will definitely be going back for more 🙂

Food and culture are the two most important things which really make you miss a place, hence the inspo behind #MooreEatsOut 😍
