Rosebud Preserves

Happy Sunday to my lovely followers!

Being blog day, I’ve been waiting all week to share my latest foodie discovery on THE BEST award-winning jams, marmalade’s, chutneys, preserves and pickles from a company which have been around since 1989.

It’s crazy to think of all the independently owned businesses out there which have been plying their trade and honing their craft for as long as I’ve been alive.

Another brand born out of Yorkshire, read on to find out all about the beautifully blooming contents in the food jars at Rosebud Preserves.

It’s definitely worth noting that for the past thirty years, the award-winning produce at Rosebud Preserves is created using the most natural of ingredients to produce natural flavours.

Rosebud Preserves was started by Elspeth and her founding principles as follows;

To source local produce whenever possible; to cook traditional recipes; and practice time honoured techniques, without the use of additives, preservatives or pectin.

The above quoted values remain within the company’s philosophy today.

Rosebud’s hope is that the thoughtful approach to sourcing flavoursome produce, generous quantities of fresh ingredients and passion for consistent quality in all they do, creates preserves that customers genuinely enjoy.

So let’s take a look at their wide array of preservatives which are beautifully packaged.

I was delighted to receive my latest gifting box from Rosebud Preserves as pictured above with jars consisting of the following flavours:

  • Gooseberry & Elderflower Jam
  • Seville Orange Marmalade
  • Strawberry Jam
  • Old Yorkshire Chutney
  • Traditional Piccalilli
  • Yorkshire Rhubarb & Ginger Jam.

Elderflower is one of my favourite ingredients so to mix this luxury element with gooseberry into a jam is my dream of a condiment concoction. And I know I’m not alone here…

Upon my recent Rosebud goodies delivery, I also received Holy Grain Sourdough’s fresh bread loaves from the small, independent bakery specialising in sourdough bread, located in Manchester. With freshly baked bread hot out of the oven, it’s best to go with a Yorkshire Rhubarb & Ginger Jam spread or a classic Strawberry Jam. Delicious.

The classic country style sourdough loaf consisted of a seed and grain mix of pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, linseeds, millet and jumbo oats blended through the dough; combined with a slather of one of Rosebud‘s sweet spreads and a good old Yorkshire cup of tea – what else would you want in life?

I was also gifted Rosebud’s Damson Jam from MacKenzies Farm Shop & Smokehouse of which you’ll see my recent review for all of their produce here.

Following up on the Damson Jam (part of Rosebud’s range), I have got to share with you my bespoke cheese set up from my recent French Themed Night whereby the Damson Jam perfectly combated a baked Camembert with roasted garlic. The contrast of the sweet fruity jam with the creamy cheese on oatcake crackers was absolute heaven and a must try for all the cheese and jam fans out there.

You can purchase Rosebud’s delicious award-winning preservatives at Rosebud’s very own website at https://rosebudpreserves.co.uk/. The preservative products are also available to buy from many local farm shops and bakeries, particularly throughout Yorkshire including Wensleydale Creamery and Fodder as prime examples.

Further afield Rosebud Preserves are very proud to also be found in Liberties, Harrods and Whole Foods also, so you should have no issues tracking down their produce.
